Dual Enrollment Students
Welcome to Saint Joseph’s University - Lancaster! Now that you have been accepted and enrolled as a Dual Enrollment student, there are a few steps you will want to follow in order to ensure you’re adequately prepared for the start of the semester.
Review your Dual Enrollment course options
Are you interested in a program? You can check and see how your course options transfer to SJU Lancaster program requirements.
Self-Register for classes or schedule a one on one appointment with your Academic Advisor
You can find all of your registration information and guides on the SJU Advising Registration Tools Page. Questions? Concerns? Don’t hesitate to contact your Advisor! You can look up your academic advisor's name in the Nest by selecting the Students tab in the top right section of the page. From there, select Access Student Profile within the Advising Resources section of the page.
Order your books
Below are a few simple steps that will guide you through the textbook purchasing process.
- Visit sju.bncollege.com
- Under the Course Materials & Textbooks link, select "Find Course Materials"
- Enter your course information (example: Spring 2024, ENG, 100)
- Note: You must select "001" within the section number tab.
- Repeat these steps until all courses are listed
- Select "Retrieve Materials"
- Select which format suits you (New, Used, Rental, Digital) and select "add to cart"
- Proceed to checkout
- To access your class schedule, you will need to log into your SJU Nest . From there, select the Student tab >Self-Service Course Registration > Register for Classes.

Understand your payment options
Dual enrollment tuition is 50% of the normal tuition rate for up to 7 credits per semester, after which the student will be charged the normal tuition rate. For the 2024-2025 Academic Year, tuition is $683 per credit hour. At 50% off, a 3-credit course completed in the program will cost $1,024.50 with the discounted rate of $341.50 per credit hour. An additional lab fee of $285 applies to science courses with a lab. Payment plan options are available and can be found here.
Your Role & Responsibility as a Dual Enrollment Student
It is expected that you will take responsibility for your future by actively engaging in planning and decision making related to your education and career. Ultimately, you are responsible for your academic success! Specifically, it is expected that you will:
- Be proactive and ask questions
- Be familiar with the academic calendar and important deadlines
- Verify the accuracy of your academic records on the Nest and DegreeWorks
- Ask questions! If you don’t understand a policy or procedure, ask questions until you do understand

DegreeWorks
DegreeWorks provides students with an overview of their program requirements in an easy to follow format. Through DegreeWorks, students can track both their completed courses as well as outstanding coursework needed to graduate.

Transfer Credit Guide
If you intend to transfer in a course from an outside institution as a current SJU in Lancaster student, you will need to carefully review and follow the Permission to Take a Course Elsewhere process.
To search for transfer courses with Saint Joseph's University equivalencies, please consult our Transfer Equivalency System (TES).
